After making an onstage appearance as Donald Trump revisited the site in Pennsylvania where he was almost assassinated, Elon Musk is planning to do more. The tech billionaire is planning to campaign for the former president in Pennsylvania, Reuters reported.
During his Butler appearance, Musk was captured on camera leaping into the air with his arms up. He showed his support for Trump on Saturday at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where a man attempted to assassinate the Republican presidential candidate back in July.
This is not the first time Trump has faced an assassination attempt. In September, while playing golf at his course, a man tried to kill him.
The appearance on Saturday was Musk’s first at a Trump campaign event since he endorsed the former president right after the assassination attempt on July 13.
Reuters reported that Musk’s appearances will be related to his America Political Action Committee (PAC). The Trump campaign did not respond to a request for comment.
Musk, who acquired X in 2022, has long been active on the social media platform he owns to rally support for Trump and take jabs at the Democratic Party and Vice President Kamala Harris.
Musk’s appearance carries weight as the nation gears up for the presidential election on November 5.
In the elections, like it has been in the past. Pennsylvania is considered a key battleground state and, therefore, is a crucial state for both candidates. Numerous polls have shown that the race between Trump and Harris promises to be a close one, especially in states like Pennsylvania.
After revisiting the site where he almost lost his life, Trump is now scheduled to appear at more campaign rallies in the state, starting on Wednesday in Scranton and Reading.
